NVIDIA Triangle

Structural Steel Shaping a People-Centered, Polygon-Inspired Innovation Hub
The unique and creative design for the NVIDIA Triangle is built to reflect NVIDIA’s core value of people as its greatest asset. Oversized platforms replace stairways as vertical connectors and double as space for impromptu meetings and interactions. The geometrical, polygon roof allows for large, vaulted spaces along with more intimate areas where private, focused work occurs. Additionally, the distinctive roof shapes, with constantly changing pitches, remind the viewer of the building blocks of computer graphics: the polygon. Strategically positioned skylights bring ample, diffused daylight into the building creating an efficient environment. Thirty-six 30˝ round steel drums float on top of specific columns to absorb seismic energy. Enormous, structural steel beams and columns provide the materials to make this unique structure a reality and coupled with SME Steel ingenuity and craftsmanship, make this project a success.
