Intermountain Medical Center
Advanced care at Utah’s heart
Delivering a Seismically Resilient Hospital Campus with Architectural Precision
Intermountain Medical Center is a high-tech complex project consisting of six buildings, two of which are connected. The largest structure includes varying tower heights and advances sixteen stories at its highest point. Flawless AESS canopies as well as a porte-cochère adorn the façade. Given the site’s high seismic risk,, 646 CoreBrace™ buckling restrained braces were installed to help safeguard the multi-structure hospital campus. With its extensive history of fabricating and erecting complicated structures, SME was able to complete this project in record time.
