CoreBrace Announces Purchase of Star Seismic

CoreBrace, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of SME Industries, Inc., is pleased to announce the purchase of Star Seismic, Park City, Utah. Both companies will operate under the name of CoreBrace, LLC.
CoreBrace and Star Seismic are considered leaders in the engineering and fabrication of Buckling Restrained Braces (BRBs) and we look forward to serving our clients and customers worldwide. All current Star Seismic projects will be completed by the new entity, CoreBrace, LLC.
CoreBrace fabrication facilities currently located in West Jordan, Utah, will relocate to a 75,000 SF facility in Pocatello, Idaho, within the next three months. Engineering, Sales, and Executive Offices will remain in West Jordan, Utah.

CoreBrace, LLC, is the leader in the Buckling Restrained Brace (BRB) industry and holds nine U.S. Patents for its BRB systems. CoreBrace BRBs are a cost effective solution to improve the seismic performance of structures. This highly ductile system has been used in hundreds of projects for earthquake risk mitigation. CoreBrace’s expert staff works closely with engineers and the entire design and construction team resulting in superior performance of the structure.
