Architectural Structural Steel Integrating a Hillside Expansion with Active Cancer Care
The Huntsman Cancer Institute, built into the side of the Salt Lake City foothills, showcases the ability and beauty of structural steel. SME expertly crafted the steel to connect with concrete sheer walls as well as the glass wall design which required flawless AESS beams. Complementing the architecture, the front of the structure is highlighted with an AESS walkway. SME fabricated and erected a skybridge connecting the new structure to the existing full functioning cancer hospital without any interruption of patient services.
