Delivering a Complex Cardiac Care Expansion Within an Active Hospital Campus
Mercy General Hospital is a state-of-the-art, OSHPD, facility which enhances the cardiac and heart program and directly ties into an existing wing via an underground tunnel. Additional challenges included the main thoroughfare road which runs right down the middle of the project. Also included is the complete remodel of roughly 35,000 square feet of the existing hospital’s North Wing, 15,000 square feet of “Get-Ready” projects for the Heart Center, expansion to the existing parking garage, and new interim emergency and main entries to the facility. This impressive project was completed with no interruption to services of the existing facility. Due to SME expertise, ingenuity, and superior craftsmanship, this project was completed on time and within budget. LEED Silver accreditation.
