Precision Structural Steel Supporting Advanced Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing
Baxter BioScience TOFX is a state-of-the-art hemophilia therapy production suite facility which manufactures recombinant Antihemophilic Factor (rAHF) – a clotting factor produced by recombinant DNA technology and used a treatment for the blood disorder hemophilia. This mixed-use facility houses the pharmaceutical and bio-tech elements on the first floor with office space utilizing the second floor. Special features include a mansard roof design which required elaborate steel connections to work with the bearing walls. Due to SME expertise, ingenuity, and superior craftsmanship, this project was completed on time and within budget.
